Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment to get a piercing or to get my jewelry changed?

Yes. We are 100% appointment-only for all services.

I hate talking on the phone.  Are there alternate ways to contact you?

Yes. Please feel free to text, email, or direct message us on social media.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept cash, credit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Do you require a deposit to set an appointment?

At this time we do not. We trust that you will show up for your appointment and contact us to reschedule or cancel if you cannot make it in.

Do I need to have ID to get a piercing?

Yes. If you are an adult of legal age and want to receive a service from us, you will need a valid government issued photo ID. For a minor receiving a service, the minor child needs a photo ID and the parent needs a valid government issued photo ID as well as the minor’s birth certificate. Without these required documents, we will not be able to assist you.

If I am late to my appointment, will you still help me?

We ask that you call and let us know if you are running late. If we can accommodate you, we will but if you are more than ten minutes late without contacting us, in consideration for other customers, your appointment will be cancelled.

Can I bring a friend for moral support?

Absolutely. You may bring one single friend as a companion. More than one cannot be accommodated at this time.

Do I have to wear a face mask?

Yes. Everyone entering the studio must wear a face mask.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

No. Insurance requires use of implant certified materials for all piercings. If we do not know what your jewelry is made of or where it was manufactured, we will not be able to use it.

Will you pierce me if I am pregnant?

No. If you are thinking about getting any new piercings, it is best to wait until your pregnancy is over. Your body is already going through a lot and is more susceptible to infection. At the time of delivery, you will have to remove your jewelry and as a result, your piercing may close.

I have sensitive skin, what metals do you use for initial piercings?

We pierce with F136 implant certified titanium, niobium as well 14k and 18k solid gold.

How many piercings can I get at one time?

We perform up to but no more than 3 piercings in one session. After that, we will ask that you give yourself and body a 2-3 month healing period before getting additional piercings.

Do you provide or sell aftercare products?

Yes, we do. We sell sterile saline. If you get pierced by us, we will include one bottle at no extra cost.

Do you use numbing agents?

No, we do not. We take a fast and gentle approach to piercing and do everything we can to avoid any intense or unpleasant sensations.

I have a bump on my piercing. Is that normal?

Unfortunately bumps can be normal, most commonly on ear cartilage and nostril piercings. More often than not, they are caused by an outside source of irritation. If you develop a bump, please contact us right away so we can help you heal it properly.

What should I do if I think my piercing is infected?

First, please contact us. Sometimes it’s a matter of changing your cleaning routine. If anything is severely wrong or beyond out ability to help, we will direct you on the best course of action.

Do you pierce teens under 18?

Currently, we have a limited selection of piercings for children aged 15 to 17 years old. A list of these piercings can be found on our scheduling and requirements page. Due to the pandemic, at this time, we are not offering any under the mask services to those below 18 years of age.

Do you pierce children’s earlobes?

We happily provide children’s earlobe piercings to children 6 years old and older so long as they can have a full conversation with us about it and they verbally consent to getting their ears pierced.  There are also some must-have documents that we have to have in order to pierce your child.  For a minor receiving a service, the minor child needs a photo ID and the parent needs a valid government issued photo ID as well as the minor’s birth certificate.

We believe in a no pressure approach to earlobe piercings of children. If children change their mind even at the last minute, that is ok. If we only wind up doing one side, that is ok. If children are scared or simply not ready, that is ok. We can always do the procedure at a later date when the children are ready.

If your child is REALLY scared, you can always schedule a no commitment consultation appointment to discuss the procedure and let your child check out the studio. This will make the actual, eventual piercing appointment easier for everyone.

Do you offer tattooing?

We do not. We are a body piercing and fine body jewelry boutique.

Do I have to tip my piercer?

Tips are never required but always accepted. Body piercing and jewelry changing are personal services provided to you by a specialist. If you are happy with your piercing and the service received, you are welcome to leave your piercer a gratuity.

Is your pricing reasonable?

  • If you are looking for quality workmanship, products, care and after-care, then the answer is yes for several reasons.
  • We only pierce with F-136 implant certified titanium and precious metals.
  • Our jewelry is made in America, hand polished to a mirror finish with stones that are hand set and jewelry that is either internally threaded or thread-less.
  • We are a fully single use and disposable studio meaning nothing ever gets sterilized more than once or is shared between clients.
  • We third party spore test our autoclaves weekly to make sure they are in working order.
  • We work appointment only to be able to focus all of our attention on the person we are piercing.  This enables us to provide fun, connective, and affirming piercing experiences.
